Hi, developers! The bitter New England winter is now behind us here in sunny Easthampton, Massachusetts office.
We're proud to announce two new releases that hit our new website recently: Atalasoft 10.6 and Atalasoft MobileImage. Let's start with MobileImage.
Atalasoft MobileImage is a new SDK for capturing and processing perfect document images from iOS and Android devices. It has three main feature sets: capture, processing, and barcode reading.
The capture tools give you complete control over the device's flash, focus, and image stabilization. Now you're able to tell the device, "Wait to take a picture of this document until the camera is perfectly steady."
Image processing tools kick in next and the document images your users capture can be run through our ImagePerfection process to clean them, prepare for OCR downstream, and shrink the file size to something manageable that can easily be sent over cellular networks or downloaded in bulk.
The final feature for MobileImage is barcode recognition. Single barcodes from a live camera feed or read multiple barcodes at once with a single image.
All of these features and processing run on-device and the images can then be pushed to your repository. Let me know if you have specific questions and visit our MobileImage iOS/Android document SDK page for more info.

Atalasoft Document Imaging 10.6
In our latest release our engineers had the opportunity to expand support for formalized documents and add new WebDocument viewer customized appearance options.
First off we added support for PDF digital signing. This allows workflows to create PDF signed with a certificate, verifying that a PDF is signed, and setting up a PDF so it can only be edited in ways required to progress a workflow.
Microsoft Office formats for Word and Excel are now available to use just like any other format we support using our new OfficeDecoder.
In our WebDocumentViewer control we added custom thumbnail layouts and custom annotations. Thumbnails can now be laid out horizontally as well as vertically, or can be laid out on any custom sized grid. Additionally, custom annotations can now be added to our collection of annotations using SVG or custom defined annotations.
If you have any questions about either of our new products or features don't hesitate to let us know you would like an enablement session and we can get one scheduled.
